Senior Asset Manager

Life can be rough and the daily grind of a 9-5 job can really be a downer at times. I find it super encouraging to be able to find joy and laughter in the small things, or if I can somehow brighten someone else’s day, even if it’s at my expense, I am okay with it. I try not to take myself all too seriously. With that being said, I do however try to find a balance, and take my “daily grind” very seriously. And feel I hold myself to an extremely high level of integrity and honesty in all that I do. That is something both my father and grandfather instilled in me at a young age.

I genuinely love aviation. I fell in love with aviation the first time I was given the opportunity to co-pilot a Piper Cherokee PA28 with my friend’s father. Being in the sky, freely soaring above everything else conveyed a sense of peace that I had never felt before. Regarding working in the aviation industry; I can’t think of anything more rewarding. I have been called crazy for this but, I genuinely take pleasure in helping a customer solve an issue at 2:00 in the morning. I could not picture myself doing anything else with my life. The connections and friends that I’ve made in this industry, both domestic and international, have been an inspiration to me and have truly changed the way I see the world. I only hope that I can continue to grow those relationships in whatever ways that I can. I also hope that my colleagues, not customers, truly feel that they can call of me for whatever aircraft related questions, or situation they may find themselves in, day or night, and know they’re getting top notch service.

One strange thing about me, is that I find myself getting overly attached to certain parts. Some colleagues will vouch for me; I nearly cried when I sold my first major landing gear component after it had come back from an overhaul…..sadly that is not an exaggeration. When I’m not working, I love being outdoors. I grew up in small town of nearly 20,000 people in the Appalachian Mountains in the northern most tip of New Jersey; the nice part (yes there is a nice part). I spent, and still do spend most of my free time, fishing, hiking, biking, camping and hanging out with some good friends from my church.

Feel free to contact me day or night with any of your aircraft related needs or inquiries at Akruge@Wyattaerospace.com
